CASTLES MADE OF SAND
By Jimi Hendrix
[00:17]Down the street you can hear her scream, "You're a disgrace,"
[00:21]as she slams the dooor in his drunken face.
[00:23]And now he stands outside and all the neighbours start to gossip and drool.
[00:32]He cries "Oh girl, you must be mad.
[00:35]What happened to the sweet love you and me had?"
[00:37]Against the door he leans and starts a scene
[00:40]and his tears fall and burn the garden green.
[00:45]And so castles made of sand fall in the sea eventually
[00:56]A little Indian brave who before he was ten
[00:59]played war games in the woods with his Indian friends,
[01:02]and he built a dream that when he grew up
[01:03]he would be a fearless warrior Inidan chief.
[01:10]Many moons past and more the dream grew stronger,
[01:12]until tomorrow he would sing his first war song
[01:13]and made his first battle but something went wrong
[01:17]suprise attack killed him in his sleep that night.
[01:23]And so castles made of sand melts into the sea eventually
[01:29]
[01:41]There was a young girl whose heart was a frown
[01:44]'cause she was crippled for life and she couldn't speak a sound.
[01:48]And she wished and prayed she could stop living, so she decided to die.
[01:55]She drew her wheelchair to the edge of the shore
[01:57]and to her legs she smiled, "You won't hurt me no more."
[02:00]But then a sight she'd never seen made her jump and say,
[02:02]"Look, a golden winged ship is passing my way."
[02:04]And it really didn't haver to stop.
[02:09]It just kept on going.
[02:11]And so castles made of sand slips into the sea eventually.
